On computing correct processes and repairs sing partial behavioral models

چکیده
Diagnosis and repair of failed process executions is an important task for almost any process oriented application. Because in practice complete specifications of process activities are not available, diagnosis and repair methods for partial behavior models are of great importance. We show that if the assumption of complete behavioral models is lifted, basic diagnosis and repair problems reside on the second level of the Polynomial Hierarchy.

Conceptual and numerical models of the evolution of pedogenic carbonates in soils of arid and semi-arid regions: A review
Introduction Calcareous soils are widely distributed in arid and semi-arid regions of the world and the presence of carbonates in the soils affects both physicochemical properties and the pedogenic evolution. In addition, soil carbon plays a critical role in the global carbon cycle, and pedogenic carbonates are an important sink for atmospheric carbon. Pedogenic carbonates are also the proxy o...
متن کاملUnderstanding Behavior of Business Process Models
Building real-world process models is hard, because processes having both parallelism and choice can have behavioral anomalies. Alas, the usual way to avoid these anomalies is by deening simple-minded models that inhibit parallelism, abstract away exceptional cases, or do not assure correct behavior. This paper gives a notion of correct behavior, the so-called simple control property, which imp...
متن کاملAlgorithms for Computing Limit distributions of Oscillating Systems with Finite Capacity
We address the batch arrival systems with finite capacity under partial batch acceptance strategy where service times or rates oscillate between two forms according to the evolution of the number of customers in the system. Applying the theory of Markov regenerative processes and resorting to Markov chain embedding, we present a new algorithm for computing limit distributions of the number cus...
متن کاملDetecting and correcting partial errors: Evidence for efficient control without conscious access
Appropriate reactions to erroneous actions are essential to keeping behavior adaptive. Erring, however, is not an all-or-none process: electromyographic (EMG) recordings of the responding muscles have revealed that covert incorrect response activations (termed "partial errors") occur on a proportion of overtly correct trials. The occurrence of such "partial errors" shows that incorrect response...
متن کاملPrediction of the pharmaceutical solubility in water and organic solvents via different soft computing models
Solubility data of solid in aqueous and different organic solvents are very important physicochemical properties considered in the design of the industrial processes and the theoretical studies. In this study, experimental solubility data of 666 pharmaceutical compounds in water and 712 pharmaceutical compounds in organic solvents were collected from different sources. Three different artificia...
